Neighborhood Ministries is a non-profit organization that provides support and household items for distressed families of urban Phoenix. Last night a fire destroyed a building that housed a whole year’s worth of their collected donations. Items such as cribs, clothing, toys, bedding and more are desperately needed to help provide for the hurting families this amazing organization serves. My friend Karis Murray, of Family Matters and Candid Motherhood is hosting a donation drive this Saturday, June 19th in Scottsdale. I’ll be sifting through my garage, linen closets, over-stuffed toy chests, cupboards, and dresser drawers… and I thought I’d call out to my friends and family to do the same. If you have items you’re willing to donate, please see the information below. Let’s link arms and help replenish their loss…

I’ll find out where we can take donations for those of us who don’t live in the Scottsdale area (Karis?) =)…

Hi Kim,
Thanks for the shout out! If you are not in the Scottsdale area, you can take your donations directly to the Neighborhood Ministries campus at 1918 W. Van Buren. 19th Ave and Van Buren. I am so humbled to see the outpouring of support for Neighborhood Ministries! They are such a needed and influencial ministry in our inner city.
Another possibility if people would like to is to make a monetary donation. They can do this on neighborhood ministries’ website. http://www.neighborhoodministries.org click on “donate” and specify “warehouse fire fund” in the memo line of Paypal.
thanks folks!!
Just heard the news! FOUR truck loads – that’s AWESOME!!! Way to pull together, everyone! You Murrays are like the A-team. Huah!
